The Great Commission (Mathew 28:19-20) tells us: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Our Ministry seeks to coordinate and provide a cohesive and continuous framework of Christian Education and Training to the entire church congregation in order for GMC to be grounded in God's Word and be a Disciple-making church.
Our seven sub-Ministries encompass all age groups. They are:
- Church School
- Small Group
- Young Adult
- Youth Ministry
- Children Ministry
- Church Library
We conduct regular discipleship training/classes for both our leaders and members through youth cell groups, church school courses, young adult, senior adult and small group meetings and Sunday school classes.
In the Children Ministry, the theme of the curriculum is Discipleship, in line with the primary focus of the church. This Ministry comprises Grace Star, Grace Star Junior and Grace Starlite which include the care and nurture of babies and toddlers and Sunday school classes for kindergarten and primary school children.
Our Church Library (a must visit!) is adequately equipped with Christian resource materials such as books, VCDs and DVDs for personal spiritual growth and group study.
As there is no "one size fits all" programme, we have launched two courses as Core Discipleship programmes for youth and adult members:
1) Alpha Course
2) Discipleship 1
Alpha and Discipleship 1 courses are key priorities for Discipleship Training as these cover foundational Christian issues/subjects that will help our members to be grounded in God's Word in order to be disciples. Other specific education/training needs of different age groups and families can be customized at the small group/cell levels with the use of church school course materials (ISOM). We hope to have ALL leaders and most members attend the Discipleship 1 course.
