Hands-on Training in Attentive Listening and Caring Evangelism

 

This 4-hour workshop equips participants with essential listening skills and practical techniques for sharing their Christian faith respectfully.

Through interactive activities, participants will learn to engage in meaningful conversations with empathy and confidence, fostering deeper connections while communicating their beliefs with kindness and understanding.


About the Trainers:

Rev. Dr. Norman Wong

After graduating from the London School of Theology in 1977, Norman served for 7 years with the Chinese Overseas Christian Mission in Scotland before returning to Singapore. He has been a Pastor with the Trinity Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Singapore since 1985. Besides serving as a Pastor in 6 different Methodist churches, he has also been assigned to Missions, Schools and Youth Ministries.  He has been Head Chaplain of the Methodist Welfare Services since 2014. Norman was a Pastor-in-Charge of Grace Methodist Church. 

 

Mr. Lim Eng Kwang

Mr. Lim Eng Kwang graduated from NUS engineering faculty in 1990 and retired from his business (founded in 1994) in 2020. Since then he has completed training with YWAM (School of Biblical Studies) Tung Ling (School Of Ministry), Singapore Hokkien Harvest Training Center (Ministry worker) and Clinical Pastoral Education (Anglican Diocese). He has also served in leadership positions in Paya Lebar Chinese Methodist Church's Hokkien service and was recently (2024) appointed as CAC local preacher. He has also served with Emmaus Walk (Chinese). He has been happily married to Tina for 30 years, and they have three adult children, Liang, Jie and Lin. He has been serving in MWS Yew Tee Nursing Home as an Associate Chaplain since Aug 2024.
