If you're ready to take a next step in your journey with Christ, baptism and membership may be where God is leading you. Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus. Membership is a commitment to grow, serve, and walk alongside this church family.
At GMC, adult baptism, confirmation, and membership are received together as one shared step of faith.

Timing:
Sessions 1–5: Sundays, 1.30–3.30pm
Session 6: Sunday, 2.00–4.00pm

Baptism & Membership Service: 22 Nov at the 9.00am & 11.15am services
Baptism and membership at GMC are part of a shared discipleship journey. We therefore invite worshippers to have been actively worshipping with us for at least six months before beginning this process.
Adult Baptism
For new believers declaring faith
Who is this for?
Those who have personally placed their faith in Jesus Christ and desire to publicly declare that faith through baptism and be received into membership at GMC.
What does this involve?
- Attending the full Baptism & Membership course
- Sharing your testimony
- Being baptised
- Being received into membership

Confirmation
For those affirming their childhood baptism
Who is this for?
Those who were baptised as an infant or child and now desire to confirm your faith through a public confession, declaring your personal commitment to Christ.
What does this involve?
- Attending the full Baptism & Membership course
- Sharing your testimony
- Being received into membership

Transfer / Acceptance of Membership
For those making GMC their church home
Who is this for?
Those who have already been baptised and are members of another Christian church, and now sense God leading them to make GMC their spiritual home.
We ask that you prayerfully consider this step only if you have been worshipping with us regularly for at least six months.
What does this involve?
- Attending Session 6 of the Baptism & Membership course
- Formal transfer or acceptance into GMC membership

Infant / Child Baptism
For parents dedicating their children to the Lord
Who is this for?
Infant and child baptism is for candidates aged 16 years and below, whose parents desire to dedicate them to the Lord and commit to raising them in the Christian faith.
What does this involve?
- Attending Session 6 of the Baptism & Membership course
- Commitment to active Christian parenting within the church community
